The Artisan’s Reality: What to Expect

For House Signs: Sun and rain naturally 'age' timber over time. While our refurbishment will strip away grey surface fibers and restore the deep lustre and protection of the Yacht Varnish, any deep-seated weather-grain or 'character' marks remain a part of your sign’s unique story. It will look significantly improved and fully protected, but it will not appear 'as new'. While we can structurally stabilize cracks with resin, these repairs will remain visible as part of the timber's restored integrity.

For Handles & Knobs: Solid oak handles absorb oils and friction through daily use. Our restoration process deep-cleans and re-finishes the timber to restore its smooth, tactile 'Grip & Glow' feel. Please note that deep-seated darkening from years of use may still be visible in the grain, serving as a testament to the handle's service in your home.
